[Albion] I'm a Korean Albion fan, about Hee-chan Hwang and Korea

Hwang Hwang
Wherever you may be.
You eat dogs in your own country
But it could have been worse
You could have been Palace
Eating shit from a tramps undies.

How about:

Hwang Hwang
Wherever you may be
You eat dogs in your own country
But if could be worse
Your could be playing for the scum
Eating shit from a hobo's bum

We (me, the wife & daughter) are looking to go somewhere different this year, we have done the usual Japan, Australia, New Zealand and really enjoyed Thailand, I never actually thought of Korea as a destination, but might have a closer look, what is the weather like around the start of August and which areas are best, train links ok or is it best to hire a car ?

Thanks
At the start of August, don't come to korea. last year was slightly better, but at 2018 the weather went up to 40 degrees.

I recommend late september ~ october if possible. But really if you just avoid july and august its fine.

If you want to visit at the summer despite the weather, there are water parks and decent beaches to hang out. Water parks like ' Carribean bay ' here is nothing like UK. Its absolutely mindblowing.

For beaches Busan and Gangneung is the most famous. Both has their own charms.

Visiting night markets also a fun thing to do at summer.

If your looking for educational, historical stuff then Gyeongju is the right place. lots of historical sites with stories crowded in small area. They also have an amusement park with the fastest roller coaster in korea so Education + Fun in one day.

I personally recommend Jeju Island. It's so diffrent compared to the peninsula. Lots of tourist sites and specialties. Trekking, Tea museum, trick museum.. lots of family activities to do and great for sightseeing.

You must visit traditional markets whereever you go, lots of exciting things will wait you

If you only visit big cities, public transportation is on another level here ( you can transfer from bus to subway up to five times with just one transportation card ) so rent car not needed but If you plan suburb trips you might want one.

In addition, K League ( Football League ) Is much fun. Diffrent culture here, we chant following the call leader's order.

If you come by Anyang for a day, I'll take you to our local football team FC Anyang's game. Much passion in the small stadium.

Thank you for that, defiantly some food for thought, I like the idea of trekking and seeing historic sites, and tasting the local delicacies (love a good hotdog) :D

That looks pretty decent. You are going to have to come over for a game.

You'd expect the dog jokes from a bunch of teenagers but from grown adults :ffsparr:

Guarantee there’s a ginormous overlap in people who find the Korean/Dog jokes funny & people who are the first to get upset when someone calls us gay on BBS/Owlstalk/Any of the other forums people on here are obsessed with.

I think teenagers are generally more world aware than the older generation of racists. You would more likely get a teenager ask a Korean a direct question on animal rights, rather than some of the idiot comment that passes for bants and wacky humour on here.
