According to the Red Tops Malcolm McLaren says it is all rubbish anda con. It is filmed in a studio, and the doctor told him he would let his young child do the tasks and eat the food becuse there was nothing to harm him. He also said that the producers already know who the winner is. So why the phone votes is it to help pay for the 'celebrities' to take part.

Not sure why this gets lumped in with the other "reality shows"
It's a good old fashioned game show, just extended over a few weeks.
Yes - they dip into what's going on in the camp, but there is an overiding game show element.
What I find quite interesting is unlike Big Brother (which I've only really dipped into) where the non celebs seem to go out of their way to look interesting, the real celebs in this seem somewhat unaware of how stupid they look a lot of the time.
I'm not ashamed to say I love this programme and it's one of the best programmes on ITV.
Don't know how long this series will last, but they do seem very very good at picking the z list celebs.
Sticking that mad ex-model in with Lynne Franks is genius.
(For anyone who doesn't know who Lynne Franks is, you know her better than you think. She is the person Jennifer Saunders based her character on for Absolutely Fabulous)
