For that reason I wouldn't invest in the club, as I wouldn't want to profit from the club and it would be arrogant for me to think that the club would be any better for my input.
Instead I would invest the money in things that would support my family in the long term (after buying a Merc SLS), and then I may gift the club some money one day if I begin to make a decent profit.

i would rather buy an area to convert into pitches and give the seagull club teams a home
if it was euro £100 million i would set up a football skills centre,and provide quality football coaching for a wider range of kids,also set up a small sided league for kids that cannot make the grade for sunday teams.

yep those are the sort've figures I would throw at the club too.
Would you dictate how the 500k is broken down though.
£500,000 on a new player would actually break down as £250,000 transfer fee and £2,400 a week wages over a 2 year contract, not including agents' fees.
Or would you insist that the £500,000 is solely spent on a transfer fee?

In the dark days, I like to think I would have thrown some money at DK for Zamora's wages or a player signing for instance but now I wouldn't give anything or want to be involved in running the club. I think we are well taken care of and I doubt I get much say for a couple of million when Bloom has put in 95 million, and I reckon I should want some sort of say for sinking 2 million into the club.
