Seconded, a true club legend.

That triple save V Wolves on the telly was probably the greatest piece of goalkeeping I have seen from the Albion.

I can think of three better two from Michel and one from Ben Roberts.

Best save I've seen is Kuipers away at Tranmere from a Wayne Allinson header very early in the season 2000/01
Kuipers at home to Bristol City over Easter when a Lee Steele goal all but won us the Championship.
Ben Roberts made a stunner away at Bradford 2002/03

Does everyone think FDM will play the full game?...I was thinking he would play half the game with a few old faces, then the second half would be a good run out for the first team. This is Reading, they are a prem side lets not forget.

I'll be giving the Chelsea game a swerve, might go to Daggers instead that day.

Will be at The Amex for FDM.

Not going. Will go to the Chelsea game, besides he's could retire on the money he's got in the bank whereas I've got to work till I'm 68.

Chelsea is a treat.

That save against Blackpool remains the greatest I've ever seen live. Was it Brett Ormerod? Swivelled and hit it from about six yards, and Kuipers saved it with one hand with absolutely no time to react. We were on our feet, it was absolutely unbelievable. Had it gone in, the reports would have said that it 'gave the 'keeper no chance', but somehow he kept it out. A genuinely staggering save.

Given FDM's popularity, and given that there's no points requirement for tickets for his testimonial, it wouldn't surprise me if this match sells out before the Chelsea match. This is the big one as far as I'm concerned - I expect the Amex to be absolutely ROCKING to:

"Michel Kuipers, the Former Dutch Marine, Former Dutch Marine, Former Dutch Marine!"

Anyone know which sections of the stadium are open for this? I quite fancy sampling a new stand.

Just as an additional heads-up, Michel will be the first guest in the studio when The Albion Roar returns on 28th July. :)

Alan, does the FDM dutch flag still exist somewhere? (As seen on his leaving meal in Hove). Would be lovely to see that hanging behind the goal at the match.
