funnily enough if you like cars you wouldn't be seen dead near a show like that you would go somewhere with proper cars not ones who have been covered in glue and driven around your local halfords!

Thing with these modded cars, and yes i used to have a modded Saxo VTS, running 170BHP is by the time you've finished spending all this money on them, you might as well have gone and bought a Porsche Boxter anyway :lolol:

If you can afford an Evo7 or something fair enough but a "souped" up Nova hardly cuts it.

Got in for nothing at the end of Saturday. No real poke or power. Just a load of motors with Airfix kit bits stuck all over them. Blue and White Sea, is spot on.

Goring. What is a 170 bhp Saxo like? Is it a scary as the old Renalut 5 with the mid engine?

Not as quick as the R5 although handlings a lot better on a Saxo.

To be honest wasn't as quick as you'd think it would be only around 6 secs to 60 standard it was alledgely 7.5, much better torque through the gears and it would pull like a b@stard in fifth, flogged it to some girlie from Swindon way in the end.

Max Power-tastic. Must admit I've never understood why someone would pay all that money to get an old Nova souped-up, lowered, smoked screens and all that - at the end of the day it's still a frickin old Nova!

bloody well said

We spent the weekend at Snetterton for the Historic Sports car club meeting, (old GT cars, F1, 60's and 70's saloons etc)

I raced in the Pre 1966 saloon car race, a 1 hour Enduro, bloody marvellous fun it was, finished 11th overall, very pleased with myself, especially as I built and prepared the whole car myself, including engine and gearbox.

Brand Hatch 18th July next . . .cant wait

sounds good zef well done. Must come watch you race (although not at Brands as thats the parade day and I'd get lynched by my mates if I missed it for car racing! ) i watched the Goodwood thing yesterday and it was great to see Button abusing the F1 car and Jacques in his old mans F1.
