In theory yes. I was, sorry, 'a mate' was meant to be going to Vegas and had a similar problem. I was asking around because I wasn't sure but a mate said he knew someone who went to New York two months after getting out of prison, no problem getting in at all. This would back up what Edna has said.

Legally you need to apply for a visa before travel. Illegally, as mentioned in earlier thread. Conscience call maybe?

From what I read at the time that visa is a bit of a pain. You have to go for an interview at the American embassy and provide papers detailing your conviction. As you say bit of a conscience call.

I got nicked at selhurst, but don't consider that to be a crime, more like a public service, if I go to the Us of A ( I been before anyway) and tick 'No' on the form, how will they know I am telling an untruth, in my own mind I geniunely belief I have done nothing wrong so I wont be lying ...... to myself anyway

i had to apply for a visa for my 40th in las vegas, (went down to the american embassey for the day) arrived at customs in the u.s with said visa and got questioned about visa....................
"why do you have a visa?"

Depends on what's on your record, I have a criminal record for evicting scumbag rent dodgers squatters ect, it has never prevented me from visiting the USA.
