We do lack this, though Zamora scored plenty from set pieces (particularly Watson's free kicks) and was great in the air. Problem is we also very much lack a regular set piece specialist.

On pure ability and taking into account the way we play it would have to be Nobby Horton or Mark Lawrenson and I would edge towards Mark Lawrenson simply because of his versatility as defender or in midfield as required. Did think about Wardy and Bobby Z but I believe in CMS we have a man capable of copying both of those in goal scoring.

Good call. For a big bloke Michael Robinson always put a shift in and had decent turn of speed, if we had him and CMS with their non stop running it would be a defenders nightmare.

However while my heart wants Peter Ward, my head says Mark Lawrenson. Wardy was so special in his first spell for us but if Lawro was in our current team we would be so solid at the back. He was the only truly world class player we've had.
