Assuming we are actually talking present day transfer?
Bennett would be the answer, age & ability. He would still have plenty to give.
I love the romance of Bobby, but is he still the player that we remember? I know there are still cameo moments of brilliance but he is getting older (as are we, his fans) more prone to injury, etc
I think that there would be too much pressure on him to become that 20/30 goal scorer. Think I'd rather the memories (great memories).
Rule of thumb move forward not backwards, I know Crofts, he is an exception, only 2 years awol, was our club captain at the time and our star player, now we are littered we stars. But he still has an important role to play.
No to Murray, sorry he could never handle the Spanish lessons.
I think tomorrow we will be excited with our new acquisitions. Players that we would never had considered a few years back.
