Darlington 1965 at the Goldstone, along with 31,000 other actual people - not paid-for empty seats.

As a small, football mad boy, clinching promotion to Division 3 was magical.
This for me too!
My first Albion promotion, still holds a special place in my heart.

I'd think I want to go back and see Adrian Thorne win us promotion, with the Goldstone packed to the rafters.

Hereford. Only game I wish I was at but work kept me away. Sat in a van listening on the radio.
Wigan promotion game. Done it all, on the pitch, lots of beer. But post match I got on a train home to Lewes. Should have gone to Brighton, a huge regret.

Rochdale home, 1972. Full house, seems like yesterday.
2-1 against Villa in 1972. Villa's first defeat in 12; Willie Irvine's goal that was 3rd in Goal of the Season.
Ah - 71-72, the season I watched more Albion games than any other season. A great time in my life too, and I loved that Saward team. Both those matches are a good shout, but I think I would prefer to go again to the Torquay midweek evening game at the Goldstone in '72. 1-0 down, and it looked as if our promotion push was faltering - then three goals in the final ten minutes!
No problem hitch-hiking back to Liverpool overnight in time for lectures the next morning in those days either - not that I often went to them! Happy days!

Promotion game at Newcastle in '79 - I was just a little bit too young - or the FAC5 victory at Anfield in '83. Given Liverpool's utter dominance, easily comparable to beating Man City at the Etihad now.

For me it'd be a game when I was young, late 70's or very early 80's . . .whilst I was at some of them, I remember very little. Big crowds, in the ascendancy and as good as we'd ever been until very recently.

I can remember the 90's and feel no need to revisit. . . .

This one I was at . . . . I remember a few very good saves, as a wanna be keeper at the time, a cracking late win.

It was a great season, and Bournemouth and Notts County played a part by making the promotion race tight to near the end. Albion got over the line courtesy of winning 8 of last 12 (first of which was Villa match) and drawing the other 4.

I recall that Torquay game. There was Mr. Moaner in front of me on East Terrace, really enjoying Albion 1-0 down. He was smiling as he shouted 'rubbish' (it was more refined even from the moaners in those days), then slinked off with 2 minutes to go.

Wigan promotion game for me. I was in Sri Lanka but my bro rang me at the end of the match. Redemption, tears. I took the flag to the top of Ella Rock.

82-83 FA Cup Semi v Massive, nothing has ever come close for me,just the best footballing experience I've ever attended, and for future reference the name of my first gerbil was Romeo.
My dad went to that. Then didn't bother buying a final ticket.

I'm not the only peculiar one in my family :lolol:

I'm laid up at the mo with damaged ankle/foot so getting very bored. Went onto BHA Youtube channel & first up was last seasons full Chelsea match at the Amex, an absolute highlight in season full of highlights. You forget that but for two headed goal line clearances by Silva we'd have been two nil up very early. Loved the booing, chants 'you're getting sacked in the morning', our play especially in the first half. Surprised at how many attacks they had in second half & excellent saves by Sanchez. The one thing though which stood out was just how good Solly was & how much I miss him, such joy to see him destroy Cucurella & what a difference he would make if he were fit.
