I would ask Gus "How can we afford £3m (+ wages) to buy CMS but we can't afford Glenn Murray's wages". Not because I'm massively bothered about the outcome of the moves, more because I'm interested to see the finances behind the decision.

Quite obviously we could 'afford' it, but Gus and the management team took the decision at the time that they were not prepared to meet his demands and to invest in CMS.
