I smoke from time to time, typically when on holiday. It is a pleasure without doubt. A cold beer and a fag is very nice. But, it is also pretty disgusting if you do it every day. Thankfully I am able to start and stop when I choose.

I'm in the sticks, they still drink hooch from milk bottles here!

My mates up in Yanchep, theres some weird locals there too!
As for the smoking, i managed to give up about 4 years ago with patches, first two weeks were horrible but dont even think of it now.
Good luck to all giving up...just remember it smells, takes shit loads of your money & can kill you...bit like women! hehe

nothing i can check on the poll to suit me... i gave up on new years eve and havent smoked since... 23 days and counting and it is not as hard as i thought... u get hard moments but the cravings stops if you get over those few mins... glad i stopped... eating a lot more though to compensate.

I've failed :nono:

Was all so postive at this stage

I know its bad for me, but I find it so hard to give up.

I don't know how the hell I did last time. Something switched in my head and I said that was it, I threw the tobacco in the bin, and I gave up for a whole year. After a month or so the cravings went away and I completely forgot about smoking.

Nobody I know smokes anymore. And when all the family get together I feel bad for going outside for a smoke. What makes it worse is my young relatives follow me outside and then go running back to everyone and say I have been smoking.
'm 36 years old, and feel like a 16 year old hiding because I don't want anyone to find out lol.

Its never the right time.
