It may be a case of selling both to allow Hughton to completely rebuild the team. Wouldn't be at all surprised if the club listened to any sensible bids coming in for Forster-Caskey too

Neither are going anywhere. They are not good enough for the Premiership and would not be regularly starting for a top Championship team.
This. They are nowhere near as good as we think they are. Dunk, in particular, has been very average since January.

Also, I don't understand why there is a belief that we'll sell at the first offer. All of the players we've sold on to PL clubs (or PL bound clubs) in the past 3-4 years - Ulloa, Noone, Bridcutt, Barnes, Buckley - have had bids turned down for them before we accepted a fee. And Barnes seems to be the only one that has looked decent value to the buying club.

all of this
I would like to see Halford signed on a permanant we should also have a back-up which could be Hughes or even Maksimenko(anyone seen him play recently) and of coarse there is Rea who can also play in midfield.
I trust CH more than recent managers to get the right ones in thats if we have money to spend.
leave it to the manager to find players he wants £325k for kayal and absolute bargain and ask yourself this question would Burke or anyone else have found him?
damn I am beginning to feel a little sorry for Sami now

I don't see why we have to sell given we have the Ulloa sale in this year's accounts.

I think we have to keep and develop the likes of Dunk and Ince. Lose the wages of Kemy, CMS, get in a decent CB and striker.

Ince as easier to replace as a DM but probably wouldnt get as much money. There will be a number of experienced DM available in the summer. should CH decide he needs to replace him
Your views are always so completely at odds with mine that I presume you are very much older than me. Didn't you say you were once a scout? So exactly how many 6'3'', built like a brick outhouse, with the ball control of a half decent winger, legs as long as most of my whole body and excellent timing in the tackle, have you seen in the defensive midfield department? I would say most teams in the Championship have at least one CB who could replace Dunk. I have not seen one player in the Championship all season who could replicate what Ince brings to the team.

If we are going to sell Dunk we'd better sign up Halford quickly. What I don't want to see is us stalling negotiations over the summer to keep the wage down and then losing Halford at the last minute...

I don't think Halford will be here next season, if his body language at Rotherham was anything to go by.

CH has rubbished any interest in Ince, in this morning's Argus, as just speculation.

How soon is now?
We sold our top goal scorer from last season, hopefully we don't do it again this season. As has been mentioned, neither Ince nor Dunk will be good enough to get into a Premiership side at this time, so best they continue to develop here in what we hope will be a vastly improved squad

I completely agree. There, I said it... In fact I'd go as far as to say that in Hughes and Halford, we currently already have 2 CBs that could replace Dunk if he went, where Ince would leave a huge gaping hole.

Can't see either leaving, Ince would struggle to get into a first 11 at Prem level and his progress would suffer accordingly.

Dunk well until Hyypia left was outstanding but since xmas has been average at best and made several howling mistakes which have cost goals.

I don't think we will get a bid anywhere near the value we probably think they are worth to us and so therefore will both be here in August. But if I had to choose I'd lose Dunk as Ince is more important to us

Financially, we'd get a better price for Ince in 12m time (assuming he continues to develop the way he has), whereas I think Dunk has just played the best season he will for us and no would be the time to let him move up. That said, I'd rather we kept both!
