...What the f*** is the clubs next option, because it doesn't look like there is a plan b.

Seems like falmer is our only hope.

Are we still looking at other possible venues for a ground?

We'd be terminally ill!

Do we have the time or money to start again, looking for somewhere else?

I seriously doubt it.

the official line is that there is a plan B

not sure what it is, but i'd imagine it'd involve some form of redevelopment of the withdean

Hopefully we'll stay where we are, if the council lets us.

Thought that was the unofficial line?

Agreed, the club HAS to have a plan B, but in order to try and achieve plan A (get Falmer) we must act as if there is no plan B.

Slowly?

I think it would be a VERY quick decline.

I mean, the signs are already there, so if Falmer were to get "No", the situation would get even worse.

hmmm

not sure about that

i thought there was DEFINITELY a secret plan B?

to be honest i'd be APPALLED if there wasn't

That's what i mean though.

Officially, there is No plan B. If there was, the 'Falmer is the only site' argument would be buggered!

And it'll blatently be to redevelop Withdean

agreed

withdean, i suppose, has enough room in it to build a half decent stadium(not 22,000), but our success as a club would be pretty hindered without falmer

a decent development of withdean wouldn't be the end of the world

But it would be a ridiculous waste of time and money. TEN YEARS and counting!!

Planning permission would be impossible though, wouldn't it?

Reconstruction of that rail bridge would be required.

There is also the small matter of the nature reserve behind the south stand.

Reckon you could turn withers into a 18k ground with the space there.

English planning law is not rational and Brighton and Hove is full of London incomers who care about Chelski, Arse, Wham etc. If Falmer is turned down to appease the nimbys, I'm afraid the club will go out of business and hopefully some of us will form AFC Brighton to play derby games against Horsham YMCA and Burgess Hill.

of course

no-one at the club could've predicted that it'd take this long

the question is, did SOMEONE at the club make a mistake somewhere to allow it to go on so long?

I'm not saying the LDC/Falmer Parish Council aren't to blame, I'm just wondering if somehow at one point, we accidently gave them a leg to stand on?
