Then we have replaced Bennett with a better, more experienced championship player. Certainly a good swap in my opinion. It will be a shame to lose Bennett, but can anyone really blame him for wanting to move to the greatest division in the world, whilst getting much higher wages than he would be at the Albion.
Add this to bringing in Hoskins as a replacement for Murray, i think we have done very well there too. I think people forgot that Hoskins only scored 2 less in a relegated side which wouldn't have created as many chances, than a player who had a hell of a lot of chances and winning the championship.

Obviously there will be other teams wanting our top players from last season, but if we can replace them with arguably better players as we have done so far, then we're doing bloody good in my opinion!

Doubt Buckley is better but can only hope. If he was then wouldn't have Norwich gone for him instead? Great business nonetheless.

Greatest division in the world? I didn't realise Bennett was moving to Germany.

I think its a good replacement rather than a good deal.

Just waiting for the Bennett wasn't "that" good anyway posts like the Murray ones

Also how come everyone thinks Buckley is amazing. What is it based on? A game against us? Football Manager 2010?

Indeed. It's almost as if he's got Max Clifford on his side!!

Maybe not better than Bennett, but certainly has quality in the areas that Bennett has. He also has championship experience that Bennett doesn't have, just because he was good in L1 doesn't mean he will set the championship (or premiership for that matter) apart.

All i'm saying is that its not the end of the world and with a few more additions coming in, we will be in a better position squad wise than last season. Have some faith!

Bennett's a class player, one of the best I've seen play since Zamora IMO, him leaving is a big loss but you can't blame him.

Any who does not appreciate what a terrific player Bennett is, is an idiot. not only a great player but a superb attitude as well, i just wish we could of had him for a couple more seasons, I really hope he shines in the premiership and moves on to a top club and makes us a fortune.

If true then good luck to Benno. Class player and deserves his shot in the top league. Buckley is a good replacement and I think a lot of Watford fans will be disappointed that we are taking one of their top players. Does anyone know the fee we are paying for Buckley or, for sheer entertainment value, would anyone like to guess?
