If we could have THREE Palace players, who would you go for?

Sounds good. Never heard of Williams before the Amex game but he was outstanding.

If Bridcutt had not been given a yellow so early in the game I suspect Williams would not have been given the opportunity to dominate the midfield the way he did.

Clyne, Williams and Zaha. All young and worth decent WONGA.

Speroni a little over-rated.

Speroni overrated ?
You have to be kidding
I can think of maybe 2 perhaps 3 mistakes he has made since he re established himself in the first team.
All bias aside I can't think of another keeper I would rather have, even if money was no object... Maybe Hart but only maybe.

I think of all our players JW has the brightest future, injuries aside. For such a young lad to perform like that , and consistently, not just against you lot was very impressive.

I didn't say he makes a lot of mistakes. I said he was a LITTLE over-rated. I mean by your lot, and the second part of your reply proves my point.

Some people on here cry at the thought of just Murray coming back, let alone 3..
Anyway my 3 would be keeper, Ambrose & Murray..

Speroni is undoubtably a DECENT keeper. Palace fans have him down as a world-beater. He's not.

A REALLY good keeper, is utterly dominant when the ball is in his six-yard box. Where was Speroni when CMS put us one up? Where was Speroni when Cardiff 'equalised' on Tuesday? That was an awful bit of weak keeping, rescued by an awful bit of weak refereeing.

Ok I accept you said a little. Apologies.
But your point isn't proved if you can't tell me another keeper other than Hart who is a better keeper than julian

In England?

Krul
Vorm
Al Habsi
Robinson
Freidel
Federici
Reina
Gordon
Mignolet
Ruddy
Smithies
Lewis

Probably at least 10 keepers who are better in the Premier but not too many in The Championship. Saying only Hart, arguably in the top 3 in the world is a bit exagerated.

Good point about the Cardiff goal, he was nowhere, he did save us on numerous other occasions during the match though :)
And sure I know Speroni hasn't done anything on the world stage so I'll modify my comment... Best keeper in the championship, still wouldn't swap him for any other keeper.

Indeed. Easily England's second best behind Hart. Capello should be on the phone to him every week, just checking.

Hart >>>>> Robinson >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> All the others

Interestingly, they were discussing Robinson on Football Weekly podcast the other day, saying his stats in terms of shots saved/goals is absolutely shocking.

Anybodys would be behind the Blackburn defence.

As BG says - that is because of the nature of the chances the Blackburn defence are offering up. Many of them would be clear chances near to goal that nobody is going to save.

If you play for Man United, and all the efforts on your goal are from 30 yards, its not hard to look good.
