.....Existing West Upper ST holder... would definitely move to a terraced North Stand (or those new North corner sections)......

Let's say there are (a conservative guess) 7000 seats in the North and South stands. Take these out and replace them with 12600 (7000 x 1.8) safe standing places and the capacity would be 36,350.
Sounds good. Heard rumours that eventually the seats might be moved closer together; 40000c.
I stand the whole match in the back row anyway.
They said that about building a stadium at Falmer. Some even said it about converting Withdean.
That was entirely different. This would entail repealing legislation to start with. And it ain't gonna happen.
They are going to trial it at Villa Park aren't they
