Try to put pressure on SCR to Dump Harty and replace him with Johnny Byrne, are we going to start a "Save our Harty" fund and campaign or are we going to go along with this without a fight.

dave, Harty's Media Bitch

BTW It was not Harty's fault that so many people wanted to have a pop at DK on the phone in a month or so ago, what was he supposed to have done...stopped taking any calls?

SAVE OUR HARTY

I don't think the BBC will feel any pressure from the club to be honest.

All the club have done is draw attention to the phone in. More people will tune in because they think it will be controversial (until Fifi phones up). The BBC will be LOVING this!

DtG,

Not being fully aware of the situation, is this actually happening or is it just another NSC 'exclusive' (i.e. unsubstantiated bollocks).

If it's true, I'll be pretty hacked off. Harty is a legend ...

Word on the street is that the Albion were very hacked off with the treatment that DK received on the phone in by Harty, and the article in the last program also hinted at that.

I am still not 100% convinced that Harty wasn't dumped by the Argus after pressure from the club, especially as the people who have replaced him, ie that Arsenal bufoon and Garry Nelson are more "club men" than Harty is at the momenet.

I may be totally wrong, but i enjoy a good conspiricy theory!

don't think the current hierachy have a right to put pressure on anyone other then Prescott in their current position don't think would want to risk legal action or upsetting us after asking us for money to help the club survive..

Harty has started up his own business and probably feels that he doesn't need the aggravation.

However, this club is in crisis and we need Harty to keep on asking the difficult questions of those in power, and not blithely accept the Albion 'spin'.

Surely you can't get any more of a 'club man' than Ian Hart?

No disrespect to the 'Arsenal Buffoon' (I've heard he's a very nice guy) but I've never read his column in the Argus, mainly in protest that Harty was ousted, plus I can't bring myself to trust 'new fans' of his ilk.

DK and MP should be grateful we are all so interested in what they are up to. If they have nothing to hide whats the problem. You cannot please all the people all the time, they should get on with theier jobs and stop throwing their toys out of the pram if anybody dares question them.

I think it's no secret to say that someone was pressuring the BBC to get Harty taken off but if the club was being well run and had nothing to hide then the phone in would reflect this.
The reason DK got a pasting was that people are more than fed up with the way things are going and there seems no chance of change all the time Dick Tight carries on with his dictatorship.
It's like 1996 all over again and I wonder when people will start getting banned from the ground as the club don't like what they're saying ?

We cant allow the club to drive the media agenda or we are blindly revisiting the Bill Archer type situation..questions must be asked regardless of how awkward they are as long as its in a civil manner

With regards the recent DK SCR interview I thought DK "lost it" and was disappointed he didnt deal with the criticism in a more composed manner

As i have said before DK could be out of his depth (not surprisingly) and the stress is now showing. I DO NOT DISPUTE HIS TRUE COLOURS....although i think if you cut MP in half he will be the colour of the club he is involved in at the time.

I hope that DK doesn't f*ck it up or be too ill to see it through though. I would like to see him remembered for saving the club not saving it and then leading it back into trouble. He has obviously worked too hard for that.

I cannot understand why the club if they are so incensed by Harty do not get their own people to phone in and make suggestions in an elequent manner.

I am sure that they club have many that would be only too willing to phone if they thought it would raise their own profile in DK eyes.
