I think someone needs to post that free-kick animated gif edit thing to remind people just what sort of player we are talking about here.

And one of the fantastic Harley free kick?

A BOOST to you, not the squad.

For me it's the same thing. My excitement for the coming season will only take a boost if the squad does. At the moment I'm quite m'eh about it. I get the occasional stir of excitement when I think that the first game of the season is so close, but generally, the squad hasn't been improved (or even maintained) enough for me to be more than m'eh at the moment.

I am one of those. I am glad he looks likely to return and think he is a good player. But can't get THAT excited about it as it isn't improving our team from last season as such is it? It is just re-signing a player. I am happy he is but the question for the poll referred to a BIG boost.

It's improving our squad massively since last week though. The style of play should suit him more too, quicker passing, more direct. I was quite deflated at the prospect of losing him, hence the BOOST. To me it's the same as the Upson signing but with added FLAIR.

I expect there to be the announcement of Kemy, SD, and one other midfielder tomorrow. A left back later in the week possibly.

He oozed class at times, his 1-2 with Orlandi against Blackpook was brilliant. But nothing will come close to his goal against Palace.

But we need the okay mate from Brightonmark1234 for this to actually go through.

Once more with feeling ....
;)

I ruddy loved Lopez last season.

I guess my lack of BIG boost feeling is probably because I try not to pay too much attention/concern etc over the state of the squad throughout the pre season, rather try and wait until the season starts / window shuts etc before getting overly worried/excited by it.

I was sad he had left but was waiting to see who we got in instead before getting too concerned about his absence. Now it looks like we will be replacing him with, well, himself. A welcome return of course but hopefully that sort of explains my "MEH" answer.

Just "meh" for me, good player from last season but as it is re-signing a player from last season, it doesnt get me excited. Cant see how its a HUGE boost though, hopefully he has a better start of the season than last season (and then have WW post a topic asking what he does again which coincidentally improves his form). He is a bit overrated by a lot of people too, good player - yes, but not a fantastic one (except a few glimpses here and there, the Palace FK being one of them).

Probably more excited about the imminent signing of Agustien.

He has to play central with Bridcutt and Kemmy.

Thats a very nice central 3 with another to come I would think :)

He also gives us great versatility on the right side or at right back.

Its a win win in my book.

Also needs no time to settle in.

This. I thought he slotted into the right back position very well and his penalty taking rated very good. Good news. UTA.
