Do we have to do this every day? He's not going anywhere. In Russ we trust.

Discipline is a joke, tactics were questionable on Saturday, losing to the one of the worst sides in this division. 19th in the league, what else do you want? This is a results business now, and I'm sorry results have not been good enough. Slade in my eyes has to get it right in the next three games or he will be a goner, because Bloom will wield his axe.

One small problem... Poyet would not come here. So realistically, who would we bring in?

I think the original poster has raised a good point here as I don't believe any of the names mentioned are realistic.

The problem with BHAFC is the overall club structure in my opinion- when Slade came in he said it was a shambles- and that is not an aspect that can be changed over night.

Slade said it was a shambles, but what has he actualyl changed?

It's ok saying Slade must go but lets stop and think who would replace him.
This club struggled to find a suitable replacement when Micky got the chop.
There seems to be a lot of people who seem to think Coppell is the answer, but there's no guarantee he wants the job.

We struggled to decide on who we wanted. Then when we did, we picked someone of principle, who wanted to stay loyal to the club he was with.

As for who would replace Slade,

Are the current available managers according to the LMA website. This doesn't include people already in another management position who might be convinced to join, or people who are looking to step up into management (a number two out of work or with someone else).

I want Slade to stay, I want Bloom to give him time, and give the club some stability. But this "who will replace him?" argument is extremely weak.

:albion2:I'm backing Russel Slade, even if there's 8 games left and we need to win 5 to stay up!! If we did sack him, I'd go for 1.Coppell, 2.Tony Adams, 3.Steve Cotterill. Maybe, someone else from the list as an assistant??

Why not he is not exactly overwhelmed with offers and we have potential both on the pitch and in support, a new stadium coming and a forward looking chairman, with sufficient money to finance a promotion puch to Championship and then consolidation in that division. Promotion to the Premiership may be a little more difficult.

I had to bring this up that I posted on 19/10/2009 in reply to a post that said he wouldnt come here and asked who we could realistically get.
