IF Slade does go - do you really think it'll have a positive effect?

All hypothetical, but if some of you doubting naive ignorants get your way and Slade is sacked... can you honestly say it'll be good for Brighton?

Yet another new manager with players he wouldn't necessarily have chosen?

More turbulence in terms of coaching, youth systems and everything else...

Personally it sounds awful to me! No logic in it at all i would say...

No, for f*** sake leave the guy alone, he saved us from relegation last season when people were already writing our League One obituaries. Russell Slade is a good manager that, in my view, fits the bill perfectly. If he goes then it'll go downhill, simple.

And if he goes, who can exactly replace him?

Leave the guy alone he is doing a good job, I have have every bit of faith in him :)

End of discussion

I admit, I have been really frustrated by the start of the season to the point it has made me question my love of the game, should I have bought season tickets again for myself and my son? But in the cold light of day and the fact we didn't lose 4-0 at Millwall, I have calmed down enough to be realistic that sacking Slade now would do us no good at all.

I really can't think of another manager we could realistically attract that I would say would be better than Slade at the moment. Give him until Xmas at least.

If we finish anywhere between 7th & 12th or thereabouts, I would accept that, with a view to pushing on next season.

If you look at the percentage rates of Slades managers jobs at Scarborough Grimsby, Yeovil and now us it only weighs in around the 35% mark for wins of games played.
I don't see anything remarkable in that and hopefully Bloom will be aware and will be as concerned as the rest of us and hopefully will put matters right before it is too late this season.

If Slade doesn't get the sack will it have a positive effect ? Doesn't seem that way at the moment and will be interesting how many bother turning up on Saturday.
Can't see more than 5500 myself so obvious apart from a few geeks on here Slade and his team doesn't have that much support.

I'd say that apart from a few moaners on here, Slade still has the fan's support. Too many times the moronic minority have started the rumblings on here that has led to regular upheavals at the club. If you think NSC has no influence then you are living in la-la land-the club watches this place as much as we watch them. Maybe you moaners should start showing support instead of undermining every manager we've had since Adams' first stint at the club.

Give Slade the benefit of your support until he has a settled side at his disposal-if we're still struggling then's the time to voice concerns. Not September 1st for crying out loud.

Do you think Slade knows his best team ? He should have known it in July and should have spend the preseason honing it to perfection instead of still f***ing about signing and selling once the season kicks off.
I can only go on the evidence I see at Withdean and that is at the moment we are a shambles and that is down to the manager, if I see the evidence we have something to build on then I will shut up.

Scarborough, Grimsby and Yeovil-all clubs who have been worse off than us financially for ever and unable to attract to players. Slade somehow got Yeovil to the playoff final which was remarkable-remember how his Yeovil sides were almost impossible for us to beat. He deserves at least another month before you and others start sharpening your knives.

I agree, but if things are still a shambles at the end of September I can see Bloom doing something and that is up to him seeing as he owns the club.
We have a reasonably fair set of fixtures in September and if there isn't a great improvement during them then there will be no excuses left for anyone.

If we lose on Saturday a lot more of the faithful will be calling for his head. My opinion still stands that he was only brought in to save us from relegation last season and because he wasn't DK's 1st choice his days would be numbered if given a permanent deal and now that TB is in the driving seat this seems to be the case.

If we are without a win going into october he needs to go regardless

If we get a draw will we get people on here calling that a CRACKING result ? Nothing less than a win on Saturday will do.

Less than 10 points after the Bristol Rovers match will mean something major has to change.

Well i will be going to the match on saturday expecting us to win, which should set us up nicely carlise, thats 7 and 2 wins on the trot will give us some momentum going forward, slip up on saturday however and slades days will surely be coming to an end

I shall be there on Saturday and even a point to me is not good enough, we need to kick start the season with a decent win and performance.
Wouldn't expect too much from Carlisle though, maybe a point and beat Southend ?
