Agree about Bruno, but would surely need a more experienced assistant- what's Dean White up to these days?
Mark Bonner at Cambridge United is one to watch. Only 36, has never played professionally but making a lot of people sit up and take notice regarding how he sets his team up to play and the philosophy he is building at the club. That Newcastle cup result was no fluke, no matter how woeful Newcastle are.

Hmmm worth noting that Cambridge are still only 13th in the table though. Mind you, for a side like them maybe that's progress, l don't know.

More likley than Potter leaving soon, I reckon Uncle Tone will definitely see all the plaudits and potential suitors. So what odds of a new contract offer, another couple of years tacked onto the end and a payrise?
Will also make the compo that much higher if one of the bigger boys come calling.
Personally I dont see that many options out there, who would actually go for him and that would really entice him away.
City wouldnt. Liverpool will groom Gerrard if when Klopp leaves which could be a good few years. Man U? I still doubt they'd go for Potter with lack of CL experience, nor would they give him the time/patience like they did with Solskjaer and I reckon he knows that. West Ham, doubt he'd got to the Porn barons, plus Moyes doing well and playing a more physical/direct appraach, Spurs already tried allegedly and with Levy there no chance, for Everton see Spurs.
I could see Arsenal and Leicester being of interest, managerial patience, developing youth, attacking football and good structures or of course England which would be the perfect fit for someone so tactically adept.

They were promoted last season and lost a couple of key players over the summer so are definitely a work in progress. Like Potter at Albion, I think you have to look at the direction of travel rather than simply the individual results to see if he has the potential to build something sustainable. Plus L1 includes the likes of Sheff Weds, Portsmouth, Sunderland, Bolton, Ipswich etc, so it’s a tough league for the third tier

Agreed.
Yeah not seen them play but read lots of good things about him. Sutton Uniteds (and I've actually seen a bit of them) Matt Gray is another one to follow, done very well there and they are playing good football.

I've got a sneaking feeling that GP could be with us for quite a while. Everything just fits into place with him and us at Brighton and I suspect he's enjoying a long-term project without unrealistic expectations from a zillionaire or trigger-happy owner and entitled fanbase, not to mention the sort of egos that you find in the playing staff at the very big clubs.
