This thread belongs in last season. And the season before. And the season before that....

This season? Nah. It will be very disappointing not to win.

A win and a loss is worth more than 2 draws, 3 points rather than 2 so the expected value is greater going all out for wins. The fact we are Europe candidates were as Palace are total toilet makes this a no brainer.

I'd take the draw. Their last two home games were against teams that sit above us in the table and they were both draws. However, their last win at home was against Southampton in October and they haven't won a game against a team in the top half all season. We're 10 points above them with a game in hand and a draw would maintain that. In terms of the rivalry, they need the win far more than we do. I worry that whenever we play them as clear favourites things usually go wrong. Brentford should be getting the backlash from Arsenal's loss last weekend, so an away point would probably keep us in sixth with games in hand regardless of what Fulham do. A draw away from home in this league is always decent and would mean that they will have failed to do the double over us for 91 years.

Pointless thread (pun intended).

Over a season, draws don't really count for much. There is almost a perfect correlation between number of wins and League position. Even now, a smidgeon over halfway in the season, only two teams - Tottenham and Fulham - are below their expected place in the table by number of wins, and that by one win and one place in each case.

Not quite sure why we have these polls. It actually doesn't matter who we play presently; DON'T TAKE A DRAW.

I'd take a point. But I'm a cowardy custard.

The potential joy of thrashing the Alan’s off that mob is worth the risk of losing.

I would normally say yes.
An away point in the Prem, is always a good result.

But after nearly 4 years without a win against them, we are long overdue.

You lot are looking at this in footballing terms.

Those taking a point are also taking a steady stream of palace on here, as they begin to remember their log in details.

Sure a loss will turn that into a flood, but a win gives us another few months palace free.
