Same experience here, friends/family love it etc. Other half and I really tried with it (well we managed to watch 3 or 4 episodes of series one because we thought that so many people, a lot of whose opinions we respect on such things couldn't be wrong) and we just had to bin it. Maybe we're just not the 'fantasy types' but it just seemed like a complete waste of time to be sitting around watching it. Breaking Bad on the other hand we loved.
