If John Prescott says No

I do not wish dampen anybody's joy but what and I hope he doesn't will we do if John Prescott says no.

Do the club and Dick Knight have sufficient funds to go throught this all again with another site? Do we have any further appeals?

The longer this goes on the more convinced I am that the decision has already been made and it is No but it is not the correct time politically to anounce it as the government is at its lowest ebb ever and couldn't afford to alienate any more people at the moment.

Call me a pessimist if you like

If he says no then that's that. I've had a great time following the albion and have some brilliant memories that will stay with me for ever.

For me a NO means the end of the Albion for me.

Good night and god bless!!

We'll all need something else to do on Saturday afternoons. Maybe five-a-side football matches can be arranged on Falmer Village Green!

Attila thinks you're Greg Stanley. I doubt it. By this time of night you'd be proping up the bar of the lamb by now. I think I know who you are? When your not pulling pints in Midhurst, do you walk around the town with a sandwich board saying "the end of the World is nigh" ??

Would you care to explain this? Are you saying that if it weren't to go an, and they announced it tomorrow, you'd be convinced that he hadn't made his decision yet? :jester:

f***ing 'ell!

We've just had our playoff place confirmed and we get a downer of a thread started by Greg Stanley's mate. Then we get a reply saying that a 'No' means no more Albion for that person.

Thank f*** we've made the playoffs because I'd hate to have seen what 'cheering up' threads you 2 could have come up with if we hadn't.

Like everybody else I hope that Prescott says Yes and we can get started on building both Falmer and a future in a higher division, one that we should never have left but the reality is that it is possible that he may say no.

I am sorry if the question was too difficult but all I asked was, has either DK or the club got sufficient money to start all over again with another site. I think that the answer to that is NO.

The second question was also very simple and I do not know the answer I was hoping that somwebody more knowledgable than me on these matters could say whether or not we could appeal to any other authority i.e EU, House of Lords or who ever.

Why is it nobody on NSC, sorry very few people, appear to be able to answer a simple question without either trying, very unsuccessfully to be scarcastic, or just plain rude and ignorant.

Couldn't have put it better myself, braders.
I've had a year off coaching (allegedly doing the DIY which remains 2/3 undone !) with a view to going back to it next season (I see Lancing were advertising....), but I'm seriously thinking of a season ticket and IF (heaven forbid) Johnny boy should say no, throwing my commitment behind finding an alternative...

You're far too touchy Ben's Grandad.

Are you sure you aren't a mate of Greg Stanley?

I'll try not to be rude to you, BG - if only on the grounds that I know you are not Greg Stanley. But you have consistently taken the line that you have no faith in Dick Knight - ever since you wrote a letter to Gulls Eye attempting to discredit DK for committing the terrible sin of appearing on the same platform as that 'leftie', Attila.

We all like to believe that our early prejudices will turn out to be true - if we give them long enough to become true. I, for example, still hanker after the notion that eventually everyone will find out that there is some good in David Blunkett - just because years ago he was an effective leader of Sheffield City Council.

But maybe we should both recognise that we can make errors of judgement.

Tell you what ... you acknowledge that DK did save the Albion, and I'll contemplate the possibility that DB is a threat to democracy. Then we can both move on.

PS Prescott will say YES. Because we've made the case.
