I reckon I would slash my wrists if I had to watch them week in week out, what a bunch of unambitious f*** wits they are.

Tactics not your strong point then? Wycombe have conceded 8 goals in there last two away matches so you can't blame them for negative tactics. It's our job to break them down being the home side.

Maybe it's not a case of them being unambitious, it might just be because their strikers are largely crap?

That big ginger lump they had up front was possibly the most pointless presence on a football pitch I've ever seen. Did he contribute one single thing to that game? Utterly useless. The only striker who even vaguely tried to make anything happen for them was Pittman, the sub.

Thought it was typical Peter Taylor tactics displayed by Wycombe today, to have everyone behind the ball when we were attacking, denying us any space to attack through, and then try to sneak a goal from a set piece or breakaway.

Same kind of tactics he employed when in charge here so hardly a surprise.

Except he had a Zamora when he was here, whereas at Wycombe his options appear to be an inert ginger lump with all the mobility of a giant redwood, a wide player who was actually outpaced to one ball by Adam Virgo, and someone who was playing non league until this season.

Life is unfair.

1 minute out of 90 we looked good :lolol:

Rubbish at least three minutes as we had a good attack in the first half, the goal and the one Harty glaringly missed :p

Wycome will struggle this season. I don't think i've ever spent so much time looking up in the air. I can't recall Michel Kuipers having one save to make.

And, as they struggle, Taylor will leave.

When the going get's tough, Taylor get's going.

I agree. Wycombe were totally lacklustre in every department. At the back they seem to just recruit big people. It doesn't matter how well these people can play football it appears, if they're tall they'll do. Their midfield actually almost made ours look inventive, and upfront they had the worst striker I've ever seen play against us. A totally clueless team.

BUT

We didn't look a lot better and we didn't really create any chances. Ok, Wycombe were never going to score because of their complete impotency, but we could quite easily have drawn that game 0-0, which bearing in mind the standard of the opposition would have been a disaster. Forster, despite scoring, may as well have not been playing for every other minute he was on the pitch, and Dickinson was unusually poor. In midfield I thought Dicker showed his class but only in patches, Davies is skilful but drifted in and out, Bennett flattered to deceive, and Crofts looked competent (for the first time this season) basically because the game was a battle and not a technical encounter.

So overall, a good and desperately needed result, but I won't get too excited with performances like that.

Pretty much spot on. The only time we looked really classy was when we moved the balll across the deck quickly rather than waiting an age to pass.

Can also add to that when cox came on and made some half-decent off-the-ball runs creating some much needed space.

Some stupid things get said on here but that is unbelievable! Calling your team "f***ing useless" after they have won a game?!?! Have you been watching us for long? One can only assume you weren't around during the Gillingham days for one reason or another. Why are your expectations so high? To call us f***ing useless after winning is absolutely crazy. Get a grip! Many albion fans have seen a lot lot worse in the last 15 years.
