The tosser belittled the club - the job at bhafc is an "easy life" according to him. He could come here and coast. No pressure, put his feet up. Who cares ? Dial it in. Easy.

He can go ahead and shag himself.

No matter how many times you throw about your microagressive judgements... he is what he is. A tool.
Nailed it

Remember all those pundits saying RDZ took the club further based on the foundations played by Potter ??

Now how ironic would it be if Potter is appointed and we went totally backwards as a team and is then blamed for undoing all the good work RDZ has done to take the team to where it was 😩

It seems to me that there are certain fans who are trying to make any kind of excuse to convince themselves that Potter is not a quality manager. It's quite obvious he is. What he did here was outstanding.

If you "just don't like him" because he left for a bigger club with considerably better wages and a bigger budget, made a very mildly patronising comment about negative fans at the Amex by suggesting he needs a history lesson, and saying that he could have stayed at the Albion for an 'easy life' (this one in particular is the most curious to me, as it's seemingly true and completely inoffensive?) - then that's all fine... You're probably a little bit on the precious side, but that's fine.

...but I really don't think anyone can really argue about his quality, and how perfect he would be for the BHAFC manager role right now.
I don't think that's 'precious' at all. Football is tribal - for my own part, I feel a visceral affinity for my club and community that's sufficiently strong that when it's belittled, even mildly, by somebody it gave a chance to manage in the top flight, and paid well, who then left to join a club for which I have no affinty (quite the opposite in fact), I bristle. Isn't that why we wear blue and white striped shirts and sing SBTS and not other songs? I know his departure simply reflected how football always has been, is, and will be, but I don't have to effing like it. I suspect Swansea fans felt the same about us when he left them, and entirely understand their feelings.

Those feelings are quite separate from my perception of his qualities as a manager. The two can quite easily be kept exclusive of each other.

Good. It would have been devicive and doomed.
I'm more concerned if TB/PB actually thought that this might be a good idea, because that would mean that THEY are out of touch with a very significant % of our fan base, dare I say the majority. Hopefully there was never anything in it.
You mean that would mean that any candidate we get now is a worse option than Potter.

The customer complaint line would have been busy.
