Just like Micky Adams could hit the ground running and turn around the fortunes of a on the rise underrated young side.

You really think that MA coming back to a very average squad at Withdean is comparable to GP coming back to the Amex with a decent squad with a summer window coming up. Will you be cutting your season ticket up if he gets the gig?

I don’t think he’d take the job but as long as he doesn’t bring Bruno back I’d be happy enough

I sat just behind Bruno under Potter and he spent a large proportion of games on his phone looking at what looked like his Fantasy team. I think of him as more of a Judas than GP. Once a Seagull bollocks, at least GP didn’t come out with that insincere shit.

Yes, it would be utterly tragic if we achieved another 9th place finish under Potter.
TBF the history books will only show the final position but it was anything but an emphatic top half finish. Going into the second half of the last game we could've still finished as low as 14th.

Yes, wished we had a manager who had “lost motivation” halfway through the season when we had the chance of qualifying for Europe. Imagine if he constantly criticised the owner too? I would be ecstatic!
He achieved something we had never achieved before, there were issues on both sides in these last 6 months. The way some turned on RDZ straight away was bizarre.

Andy Naylor might be the Athletic's go to man for news on the Albion, but if the club were choosing a journalist to try to get fans onside over a likely unpopular decision, he surely wouldn't be the sensible choice. We all know that he has a long history of lecturing fans of a club that he doesn't support, taking a patronising approach to the concerns of those who do, and writing deliberately provocative pieces with the obvious intent of winding supporters up for clicks. If the club were looking to leak out a story to win over fans then Brian Owen, Paul Hayward, Nick Szczepanik - yes. Andy Naylor - definitely not. He's surely just playing his weird games again.
Andy Naylor writes what the club want him to write. He does tow the party line, which means it’s ok to piss fans off but not the club.

Potter could only be appointed after the Euros.

Unless we are willing to gamble on Southgate not being sacked and Potter not immediately sodding off to the England job.

Ah I see people are still seeing the April to September 2022 period as being representative rather than a purple patch in an otherwise largely uninspiring three years under Potter.
Yes, it was a long term project starting to pay off. The hard work of completely revolutionising the way the team set up and played was coming good. Amazing that some people just can't see that. I guess grudges get in the way of logic sometimes.

Potter hasn't got the balls to come back he knows exactly what he's thought about by 80% of the fans. If TB is having a problem with the algorithm he needs to turns off and turn back on again!
Are those 80% also not going to the matches and throwing away their season tickets? It would be nice if the transport was less congested (y)

At what point have I suggested that? Utterly bizarre suggestion. I just think it would be a very boring appointment, uninspired in fact, we’re a progressive club, I would like us to try something different. I think he has a serious flaw in his coaching/style, and nothing I’ve seen has suggested that has changed other than everyone suggesting that he’s spent the last year since he left Chelsea, “growing”, which appears to have been going on holiday a lot (which I’m not holding against him, if he has millions of pounds why not?).

Can't you see we're in a far superior starting position to when Potter was appointed the last time? I don't see why it would take another three years to get rolling again.
This 20/21 squad finished 16th under Potter. It was filled with quality.

Sanchez
Veltman Webster Burn White Lamptey Dunk
March Lallana Gross Bissouma Mac Allister
Trossard Welbeck Maupay

Maybe Potter understands that he’s not going to get the Man United or England job.
However, if TB does appoint GP expect a very large release clause.

So, if he’s appointed, you’ll reluctantly live with it and not boo him from day one?

*completely fails to take into account any player development that has occurred - ignoring the fact that they did not have the same ability then, as they do now*
