[Albion] If Dunky stays will he be our greatest player ever?

Vicente I would say was our greatest ever player it was short lived but what a player. Dunk has been superb though and clearly loves the club.

Think the definition of Greatest in this context is different to how you’ve taken it...

Greatest meaning offered the most to the club - loyal - great player etc etc - absolutely.

When Guy Butters was Lewis Dunk's age, he was playing the Third Division for Gillingham.

Yeah, you've nailed that argument.

Guy Butters himself (though maybe with a touch of modesty) would claim he wasn't even the best defender at the Albion when he played here, and you haven't even mentioned that player.

Yes I remember him saying that he didn’t do much except
tell Tommy what to do,Tommy Elphick I guess he’s talking about
And it’s not really an argument so it don’t need nailing
It’s just my view and that’s it
Here’s another Morgan was better than Dunk

If we are talking greatest contribution then it's Dunk , pretty consistent for 6 years though first half of this season not so good. A very decent centre half leading by example who get's it to be a Brighton supporter.

Best footballer we have had on our books , Vicente, best player in Spain in 2004-05 and best Spanish player for same period so world class .

Good shout, although I'd say best footballer might be one of Gotsmanov, Lawrenson, Case or Vicente and of course everyone in the Charity Shield side of 1910..

Ward came through the MEads on his way home once when we were playing football. I don't remember going to his house though.

The Meads lol what a dump that was mind you had some good times down there especially with that allotment.

Is it still there.
