Have to disagree with you there, i really do belive we will stay up with or without Danny, we have people to replace him and with Big Guy helping them out we will stay up.

i believe we have a good standard of centre backs to cover. of course he is fantastic but hinshelwood has proved himself as has virgo. butters will just have to lead the line.

we should surely get more for him than we did for Currie. He has proved himself time and again in both 3rd, 2nd and 1st Division. I've got a nasty feeling that it will be around the same £250,000 but we should desperately try and get a bit more

DK would bite there hands off for anything round the £250k mark, i cant see it being much more unless he wants to treat someone special at Christmas.

Same as the Currie deal. 250k up front, thought I like to think we're holding out for 300-350.

Whatever the fee, it'll be a lump sum paid up front. We need that cash now.

With the financial position of the club at the moment one thing for sure is that Sheff Utd will get him at a bargin cash deal price. I reckon 300K will be about the figure. Two seasons ago when he was one of the best young centre backs outside of the premier league it would have been £750K+ but thats football:(

I hope he doesn't go, but no one player is bigger than the club. Remeber the doom mongering post Zamora? Didn't we go out and get promoted the following season?

Don't despair boys and girls. Surely the fact that we are trying to hold on to him proves, if nothing else, that we can afford the wages. AS such, surely at least his wages could go on a loan player (or am I just hoping too much?)
