When are you attendance obsessed people going to realise that attendances don't win football matches ?

No, but tickets sold help pay for stuff. Oh, hang on, you're Palace. You don't pay for stuff do you. Just go into receivership or start a riot in your hometown so your chairman can go and steal some Barcelona shirts from JJB so your tin-pot club has something to wear.

7.WEED

How desperate do you need to be to find any old list that puts you higher up the league ??

I was going to post an expletive ridden tirade, but i realised you're a palace fan and couldn't be bothered.

I'd quite like to see a list ranked by the difference between current position and attendance ranking (both out of 116) to show a kind of 'who actually deserves* to be where they are' index.

*Obviously having a high attendance doesn't mean you deserve to be above someone, inb4 people start flaming me.

I love whats posted on here because most of the time you lot talk more about Palace than your own little club.

"Little club"
Highest average attendance in the league..

Palace logic.

All it takes is one defeat and the doubts start creeping in. The players lose their confidence, the tactics get found out, the defeats start rolling in and in 4 or 5 weeks you've gone from 1st to 14th. That's the way the Championship often goes, and that one defeat, possibly coming against a certain Sussex based side, could be the catalyst in Palace's plummet back down to normality.

Hopefully.

You mean kind of like what happened to brighton earlier this season?

Exactly, we know of what we speak. You'll learn eventually.

Exactly that! Don't forget last season as well. We've had our bad patch though and have come out the other end a lot stronger. If we turn you over on the 1st, you could be in for quite a difficult Christmas period.

To be honest I think if we get through Leeds and Hull without losing then we'll beat you on home turf easy enough. If we lose to Leeds and Hull it's then that the doubt will creep in and you could do us. That or it could be the perfect game for us to bounce back?

Being pedantic about the grammar here!

If club's positions WERE reflected BY their average attendances...... then we'd have your list above.

But...
If club's positions reflected their average attendances......
...then as 7th in the championship we would have an average attendance of 18,488. Therefore we have an average of just over 7000 people who aren't pulling their weight at matches.
So, the impact of the wall of silence from the East stand is, therefore, pretty obvious!
