Put a bunch of tree hugging grungies in charge of a multi-million pound business, and what you get is what you are seeing.

I hope those that voted for them enjoy the poll tax rise that's coming.

That is if any of them work.

TB

And you have perfected stupid childish comments such as that.

If you think the Greens are the best way forward, then so be it.

But don't treat people who share different viewpoints with such contempt.

In short, f***ing grow up.

TB

Wow, that's a pretty staggering display of hypocrisy, even for a Tory.

Clearly not scientific, but warms the cockles of my heart

Oh come off it, everyone knows Tories don't have hearts!

Green, sustainability is more important than anything else

Which would be correct but the Greens have just shown their true colours by increasing allotment fees by a MASSIVE 34% - hardly a sustainable policy. How very Green ! Add that to the fact I will have to pay an extra 3.5% on my council tax the Greens now have no chance of getting my vote next election. They are nothing but money grabbing morons ! I'd rather vote Lib Dem :censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored:

Normally i am labour thou and thou but my problem is i don't see Ed miliband as a leader, so voting labour in a local election would give out the wrong signals.
just cant vote for those bloody toffs, so UKIP.
So you wouldn't vote tory, but you'd vote UKIP who are basically tories that don't pretend to have a social conscience?

How much are allotment fees? Now and before?

Is it as simple as you make it out to be and that they are money grabbing morons? How much central funding have they lost and how do they go about juggling cuts across the whole board, whilst trying to maintain a decent level of service?

An extra 19p a week on allotment fees. Ouch.

They were £33.00 a year (£24.75 for over 60s).

Blimey.

...was worthy of a tabloid in that case.

The amount may seem small but it's an ever increasing burden. Add in the council tax rise, inflation on food, fuel, utility increases, public transport charge increases and increased unemployment ( something my family have been hit by ) and it all adds up. The Greens don;t give a toss about that - all they want is their extra tax and they are backed up by the law meaning you can't avoid it. Maybe one of you would like to pay my council tax increase and allotment fee increase as it's such small potatoes to you both ( pun intended ! ) ?

Stop it, Ian. You're sounding like that Falmer poster kid. You're 42, and bigger than this.

However, I'd find it perfectly acceptable and understandable for my Season Ticket to increase by £10.70 next season.

Just think, if the Greens had accepted the government's 'council tax freeze' con, you'd have a shocking allotment fee hike next year.

If, as is being portrayed, the increase in allotment fees is so small, the you have to answer why on earth the Greens doing it.

Maybe it's because they haven't got a f***ing clue what they are doing.
