If Boro play a 5 man midfield how does 4-4-2 counteract this?

Boro 1/3 for win/draw.

I think CH will have to pull a rabbit out of the bag.

We did the opposite in the home game.

Avoid errors from both sides and it will be moment so individual skill or set piece routines that will provide a goal. Boro have a few more days to recover from injuries and practice the set pieces.

Altogether it seem we do not have any advantages. Boro's job will to be to keep the rabbit in the bag and it might be nervous if it is still 0-0 with twenty minutes to go.

My personal sus is that we have to get our starting XI right as subs will not get up to the pace of the game.

Good plan. Worked an absolute TREAT at Cardiff

You mean the 4-1-4-1 formation with a midfield of Stephens, Crofts, Sidwell, Knockaert and Skalak.

Then also with Calderon as a left back? ALSO Zamora upfront?

No way near similar to what I'm suggesting, carry on the sarcasm though, it's mildly amusing.

“In football everything is complicated by the presence of the opposite team.”

Five things Albion have to do to win at Boro (Perseus version)

1) Keep a sound back four + keeper. No errors especially early in the game.
2) Pace the pressing game, so we don’t get burnt out chasing shadows, even of this means ceding possession in the first half.
3) Gain an upper hand from the KO in the second half, winning the second ball, and keeping possession and not getting forward passes intercepted.
4) Produce a rabbit out of the hat: an individual piece of skill, a set piece routine to score the needed goal
5) Consolidate and keep hold of the lead, hopefully by keeping possession of the ball, against an expected Boro onslaught.

This journo lark is EASY!

So which Albion players are most likely to create that extra bit of skill to produce an opening and goal?

Which Boro players are most likely to muck it up for us?

Cue: Man CIiy going out with a whimper against read Madrid.
