will momentum pick up for a future Great Britain team for say the World Cup after Brazil2014.

If the media like the idea, a lot of pressure would be put on, and FIFA would readily accept.

There be no point as all apart from England and Wales would take part. If that was the case though maybe we could be called Wengland? I kid by the way...

FIFA hates change.

What's more, IFAB - the people who decide on new rules each year - is made up now of members from each of the English, Welsh, and Scottish FAs. By having a unified GB squad, this influence from each of the countries will be reduced. Besides, if the national teams are merged, what is likely to happen? The Welsh, Scottish and Irish leagues could well merge into one super league, with teams from across Britain competing together. Independence is important for national pride, so I'm happy to stick with the status quo.

Hope not.

Now the Olympics are in full swing I've found myself getting into it a bit more. 2 sports that have bored the tits off me though are football and tennis. I like the fact its mostly sports that dont get any coverage normally. Football and tennis just don't seem to fit in with the unknown heroes having their day.

Too right-for me it's 1 on 1 or 2 on 2 or 3 on 3 or 4 on 4 old style track and field and a few water sports..

The big problem with this BIG IF coming off, would be the knock on effect for the England national team.

The last thing that needs is, the cracks papered over, for another 5-10 years.
