More funny if someone had come up behind him and raped him .....to far?

So, is it confirmed that they were apprehended by the police, but let go without charge? It they were directing specific homophobic abuse at Albion fans, surely they have committed a serious offence, or is it still 'banter'?

I think this is cringe worthy we clap them bringing 800 fans oh my god well done.

Is it not a not of appreciation to fans who, like us, take the effort to get off our backsides and go to games rather than watch them from the lounge. The applause is for those who have made the ffort to attend, regardless of how many their are. It's money into our clubs pockets after all.

Idiot?? That was funniest thing iv seen in ages!!! The only black dude in Barnsley screaming faggots at us and the odd looking
geeky kid giving it verbals even when the old bill had his arm round him! And chanting eagles...pathetic! Still not as pathetic as us lit clapping the away attendance every time= melts
even when they spend all that time chanting a load of bollocks at us , believe me we've got some right melts in our ranks .

840 coming down from a small town and small-ish club on a Sunday, was a good show.
The attraction of the Amex works again. (compared to the open West end at Withdean, with hotdogs hut!)

You must have been very cloe to me then. I have to say the whole bloody queue was silent untill me and one other started giving it back. The coppers were great coming up not noticed but the thing that really pissed me off was after everything this week they were apparently sent on their way.
shamefull, well done for speaking up on behalf of the shrinking violets

Not sure if they were released, someone mentioned it on the train. By the time the Old Bill were talking with them the queue was moving so I was under the bridge and could not see.

I haven't been there but I would guess that the Barnsley area is quite socially deprived with high levels of unemployment, so 800 fans on a Sunday is probably a good turnout especially as it was a mid-table clash. Personally I don't have a problem with people clapping the away support especially as we are not exactly their most bitter rivals...

Having lived there for 20 years I will confirm that it is a deprived area, although many people don't want to work. I would say a turnout of 800 is quite good

They joined the queue for the Lewes train just after we walked past them when the police had just finished talking to them.

I find this almost laughable, after all the press coverage about stamping out homophobia during the previous week that they were let on their way.

Is it going to take a violent assault on a Brighton fan for something to be done?

I can take all the "holding hands" Boyfriend know your here" stuff, that's banter in my view but this guy was practically frothing at the mouth with vitriol.

You can guarantee that if it was racist something would have been done
