Portlock - I sense a degree of cynicism? Are you against the ideas of banners or gripping tight to the assumption that the Club will not allow anything but hanky sized, officially licensed flags?

To me, the Club can do as much as they like to "Albionise" the Amex (& hats off to them for doing it) BUT one of the key ways that WE can call it OUR home is to give us the freedom, within reason, to make our mark. One of these ways is by singing, the other (& arguably a precursor to get the atmosphere going) is the use of inventive banners.

The Club previously allowed the huge REMF Flag at Withdean. I also asked, many moons ago, whether they could store such a flag at the Amex. Though they said no, they didn't say we couldn't unfurl one!

Yes, but it needs to be full, not half!! Seriously, the club has a bad relationships on this sort of thing. If they made it clear, and I've asked but as said no reply, then we'd know whether it was worth risking anything between £75 and £1000 investment-wise. But we don't. And I for one don't want my opening match at falmer ruined by bringing along a fantastic flag only for steward 649 to say "er, you can't take that in under regulation 43.8, article 3 which states anyone found creating an atmosphere will be ejected".

I'm really sorry to piss on everyones fireworks but I've seen the advertising spots and I've seen how booked up they are already. On the front of all three tiers will be advertising. And companies are not going to pay for them just to see them covered every match. Unless the club make some special provision that I don't know of I really can't see you being allowed to put them on the front of the tiers.
