Maybe if someone speaks to Oxford they'd give us a discount on ticket prices if we promise to boost their crowd.

Apparently it's something called "Torpids week" in Oxford then. Something to do with boat races. Very popular. Should mean lots of people around to give leaflets to.

Although posh Oxford students are less likely to be in favour of (1) building stuff on green land and (2) proletarian sports like football.

Perhaps we should tell them we're building a new rugger arena or polo pitch.

I am going to the Oxford v Huddersfield Game in my capacity of Ex Pat Townie

I have been told I revert to type when watching Hudds ( shouting in a Northern accent, abusing anyone from Lancashire or the South on the pitch and eating vast quantities of meat pies)

Bring it on

Yorkie, if Ned goes, we can sing the YRA song together very loudly

:lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

Interestingly (well, it interested me), the Kassam Stadium is (I believe) in the constituency of labour MP Andrew Smith. In fact, as far as I can work out, he lives just up the road from the ground. If we all go to Oxford, we may be able to get some political support (nb: looking on his web site, he has some interest in "sustainable development", which could include Falmer and the public transport access issues).

Or Andy Crosby or Lee Steele.

(Sorry if that has already been mentioned)

One point about the Oxford match, this is a huge match for both teams and it may well be all ticket and a possible sell out.

Don't know why everyone is talking about going to the Millwall v Cardiff game.

The reason that we have a free Saturday is because Tranmere are playing MILLWALL in the FA Cup.

:dunce:

I never claimed the fixture information was 100% accurate :lolol: .

I assumed that game would be a non-starter anyway!!

Doubt it'll be all ticket as Oxford aren't that well supported.

What about (shudders) Palace v Reading as an alternative.

Our Eagle friends and Mr Coppell at the same time, it could be a beautiful occasion....

They'd love it if we took over that one!
