I still don't get it - sorry. How can a stand full of fans, having a laugh at an away game 'damage a good reputation'? The blokes in Stone Island starting hand-bags in local pubs, or having a ruck on the train are the ones that will damage our reputation. (In some people's eyes I have that 100% the wrong way round - I get that)

Are people genuinely bothered about the threat of a few sneering posts by a ouple of pricks on a Palace messageboard? Who cares?

Dunno really. I guess with the popularity of the internet, things can spread quite fast... I think the bottom line is, some feel it's a particularly shit idea... Just their opinion. For something to really work it needs majority backing.

What has any of this got to do with the NSK? Somebody doesn't like a suggestion so automatically assumes its got to be something to do with the NSK. Gets tiresome and boring

This whole thread is what makes NSC great/rubbish depending on your point of view. Two pages ago it became clear you are not allowed to bring them in the ground and yet everyone is still arguing about whether it was a good idea or not. Which for the record I think it was (because I had it five years ago at Withdean :) )

But lots of things are a bit of fun, it's just that they have no place and bring no value to a football crowd.

Morris dancing is a bit of fun - why don't we have a morris dancing day at watford?

Picnics are fun - why don't we all bring little blankets then eat our selection of sandwiches and scotch eggs at half time

Knitting is a bit of fun - Lets all bring our knitting kit and we can make a giant scarf while the game is on

Hide and seek is a bit of fun - One person in the stand shuts their eyes and everyone else has to hide (pal*ce already play this at every home game!)

You really do have a strange idea of what is fun. "Fun" is not a word I would have used to describe Morris dancing.
And are you suggesting food at half time is not right at football? Because I have a pie at half time and it is just lovely and you have now given me the idea of bringing a scotch egg for half time. I will have to do that now one day as scotch eggs are just wonderful.

Think it's a reputation thing. Albion fans, in general, have a good rep amongst other football fans (knowledgable ones anyway) - mainly cos of loud away following and the stdium shit we've been through. Some probably feel stuff like this does a little damage to a good reputation - 100s of little things like this can change general perspective... Just a thought like.

Why would you care what other fans think of us? I personally like the idea. Although, if it were to happen, it would have to have enough of the fans doing it.

I'm just loving how annoyed some people are getting. I think it will be FUNNY to see them get even more annoyed!

Personally not 'annoyed' - there are lots of things in life to be 'annoyed' about - this certainly isn't one of them.

IMO it's just tin pot. I remember laughing at Palace with their pathetic banner last season, and their bits of blue/red card. That was crap, and so would this be too.

20,000 flags for the Donny game was impressive - it was a one off, our first game at The Amex and all that, but this is a midweek game in Watford!

Maybe I'm just getting miserable in my old age!

No you are not getting miserable with old age mate. I wouldn't done this sort of thing when i was 15. As someone above says, it's not a kids party.

I don't think it's fun, I think it's a load of shite. My point is that there are some people who do it think it's fun, everyone else thinks they're stupid and gay and boring - this is where the comparison with glow sticks at football becomes relevant..............

I like this attitude. It's one that I adopted not so long ago in the illuminati thread  It amazes me what people get cross about.

Well believe it, I'm SEETHING. I lost sleep just thinking about this all last night, I was so angry I PUNCHED the missus in the face this morning as soon as I thought about GLOWSTICKS. If anyone turs up at watford with a glowstick I'll KILL myself

Helluva thing to have on your gravestone - "Bobby Smith, 1980-2070. Never lived down the glow-sticks at Watford".

If I lived to 2070 I would have 'Here lies BS who died at the grand old age of 112, who lived a grand life and even survived the 'Watford GlowGate' saga of 2012'
