I suspect smartphone option was decided on statistics of sales so hardly inferring they are new underclass.

I don't think going over the top equates to trying to protect people from a proven deadly disease

Ownership of smartphones does fvck all to help it either. Probably helps you find super-spreader events though.

Bully for smartphone owners then ..............................

The whole bl**dy world has gone over the top. Non smart-phone owners are the new underclass.

The email sent to give you the Watford tickets download included an option for those with no smartphone. Vaccine passports are available on paper. Alternatively you can login to the NHS app on someone else's device, download the pass onto pdf and forward that so it can be printed.

It does a lot to help it, the tools are on a smartphone to prove Covid status of individuals and enable easy entry to a stadium. Super spreader events are far more likely to happen going forward.

In no way are these measures proportionate to the risk. Masks don’t even work.

The authoritarians are welcome to their ever more exclusive club, that’s what they’ve always wanted.

No difference of opinion here please, we’re mods.

I support the measures.

I've been a bit hesitant about attending matches again due to covid risk, so anything which reduces the risk of transmission I support.

Also, the club owe a duty to their staff to take measures in mitigation.

Plenty of people on this thread need to realise that millions of people around the world who weren't going to die any time soon have died from covid. That's why counter measures are in place. We all have a responsibility to make simple adjustments to limit the risks. It's just part of adult life. What the club are asking is a proportionate response.

I just want my money back now tbh. I have 2 tickets in the North.
I'll hopefully get to some games when this all settles down

Sorry but these measures do absolutely nothing to enhance safety. All someone needs to do is scan the QR code on the lateral flow test and self report a negative test for their Covid pass.

So ? That’s like saying I can drink 10 pints and drive if I want to. But most people don’t because they aren’t dicks

Tiny little thing to sort out? Having to show health certificates for the foreseeable future for entry into a venue is not a tiny ask, I don’t want to be tested 20+ times over the course of a season, I’m done with all the nonsensical rules. Right now I can go clubbing to bars etc - no restrictions, but from October, they are making these health passports mandatory…. Totally bizarre.

I’ve had enough of all these hoops and hurdles, my choice, if you think that makes me a bad fan then so be it.

Diddums, but in the end your making and your choice. Health passports protect others from the minority of fools.

You’re right, I remember when we had them when flu was killing 10’s of thousands and they definitely saved people’s lives then.

I still don't understand why you need to show ID? You didn't need to when going to Wembley to watch the euros? This is the club's choice.

Are you really saying that if you tested positive for Covid you would report the test as a negative and still go to a match?

Hopefully there aren’t many who would.

Good point because by all accounts Wembley was a huge success
