Pardew would say he liked him even if he was shite just to spite us. Still think Kaz will come back on loan but dunno bout next season / actually signing him...

Pardew may well have been impressed, but as it says somewhere in that link, two divisions is a big jump. Hopefully Pardew will remain impressed but decide that Lua Lua isn't QUITE ready for the 1st. division (Oh, alright, I'll call it the bloody premiership if I must!) just yet, and lend him to us for a few more games. Half a dozen games on the final run-in, perhaps?

If we go up we really should try sign him permanantly or a yr long loan. Gus has said we're going to try sign him...

No, but it's still two divisions between Lua Lua's experience and where Newcastle United are now; we might (i hope) be a division nearer them next season - but that would just be the first step of two for Lua Lua (if we get to borrow him for the season, which I doubt).

He's a great player, but no way will he make a Prem squad of 25.

So, the Championship is where he should develop his talent, and on the 6th August, at the Amex In Falmer, that is where he could be, should be, and will be.

He's under 21 so he doesn't need to be in a 25 man squad.
Sounds to me like he's going to get his chance at Newcastle.
Good for him, bad for us.

Lua Lua won't be returning to us on loan. Pardew would rather he sat in the reserves at Newcastle than help us out.

I don't reckon Pardew will be there by the end of the season anyway. As soon as they lose a few games the fans will turn on him and his stupid boss for giving him a 5 year deal.

I'm sorry, is this me just being a little short sighted, but how or more importantly why would you give someone like Pardew a 5 and a half year deal in the Premiership. Lets have a spread bet, I say end of season max. Feel sorry for the Geordie's, they really do deserve better. Been hearing they are in uproar about this appointment. Seems like more and more chairmen are doing their best to disenchant their supporters. Thank heavens for "The Lizard" Could be something in the Lua Lua situation, Pardew clearly doesnt like us from his Palace and Reading days, but if I was you Mr Pardew I would keep looking over your shoulder. Knives are quite sharp up there I hear.

Pardew, like him or not, is a professional. As such, he doesn't have loyalties (or hates) like some of us fans do. As a manager he will do what he thinks is best for his (current) club - and that may not include lending us Lua Lua, if he thinks he could do a job for the Geordies next season. As I said earlier, I think getting him for half a dozen matches in our run-up (hopefully) to promotion is about the best we can hope for.

I'm sure Gus' words at the Seagulls over London meeting were that we're going to try to sign him permanantly as Brighton is the only place he wants to play... Typical Gus enthusiasm and I know Kaz speaks highly of playing for the Toon but realistically he probably won't... Kaz will have a say where he wants to go on loan or who he wants to sign for - i expect Pardew has more important things to worry about...

Also is that right that his contract is up in the new yr as someone mentioned he was offered a 4 yr deal last Summer?
