Tickets were £100 each for the lower tier, although the people sitting next to me had paid £300 for the same ticket through a reseller!

Anyway if you want to compare Fury with Joshua you need to look at who Fury was fighting in his 16th fight. It was journeyman Nicolai Firtha at the kings hall in Belfast! Fury had 8 years as a professional and 25 fights before winning a world title so you can't knock AJ for picking up the IBF title at this early stage in his career.

Err he has...Kevin Johnson dispatched him in round 2. Never been stopped and fought for the Vitali Klitschko for the WBC title also took Fury the full 12 rounds.

Pro boxing isn't really about age its about experience and there is very little way of fast tracking boxers, they need the fights and the rounds under their belts. Joshua has actually been stepped up pretty quickly by normal standards, Wilder fought over 30 fights before facing anyone of note and Fury over 20. I remember Fury getting dropped by Steve Cunningham (who is basically a cruiserweight) in round 2 in his first step up to world level.

Age is irrelevant here. Where was Tyson Fury after 16 fights? Before Wlad, is there anyone on Fury's record that AJ would not stop? AJ beats them all a lot more convincingly than Fury did. And to be honest, I think he stops Wlad early now too.

AJ vs Fury would be a great fight, and one I think AJ would have a great chance in. Wlad was far too slow to beat Fury, AJ's hand speed would cause Tyson problems.

A lot of inbred planks wandering around thinking that they were the main event of the night and calling each other mugs and girls wearing not much with peroxide hair.

Also is it normal for everyone to start throwing their pints about when the fight is over? I tend to finish my pint, especially if I had qued god knows how long for it as I imagine the muppets above me had done...

Unfortunately no matter how much Wlad tries to 'up his game' I just don't think he has the physical attributes to be effective against Fury. It's a shame, but I think Wlad is past it now.

He lost the first fight because he was not able to get his shots in. Tyson made him look old. He did't have the footwork, the reactions or the hand speed. He can't improve this. If Tyson 'boxes' him again, he will win comfortably.

Joshua however, has the speed.

Makes at least 3 of us NSCers in attendance then. Pretty impressive.

I think Joshua would make short work of Tyson Fury. He's miles better, much stronger, quicker, more intelligent, the guy punches so hard that no one will be able to stand up to him. His combination of power and speed is absolutely lethal. The only one that might give him a tough time is Deonty Wilder

Unfortunately boxing events do tend to draw the lowest form of pond life as well as the true boxing fans. Did you see the two peroxide blondes behind Froch and Nelson on Sky. Desperately wanting to get on the tele. At least AJ doesn't draw too many idiots looking for their own Saturday night fight.
