If by mid March we are in danger of being relegated I think that we would see some movement then to give a new man time to bring ina few oplayers before the transfer deadline date.

We have however been lead to believe that we will be making some significant signings in the January window so the arguement would then become irrelevant.

If I was a betting man my money would be on Dean White being replaced before Micky Adams.

Unless, like every other signing we've made so far, we still struggle with them in the team.

We seem to specialise in losing sequences. In the last 10 years, under the named managers, we have lost the stated number of consecutive games.

Wood = 10 (1999)
Hinshlewood/Coppell = 12 (2002)
McGhee = 6 (2005)
Wilkins = 6 (2006/07)

I hope that Micky's not 3 games into another major sequence of defeats.

He will go ONLY when Dick Knight starts getting jip and needs a scapegoat OR someone better comes in for him.

Can't see either happening for a while...

Obviously if we were to lose the next 6 or 7 games in a row then his position would become untenable. It is, afterall, a results business. But that's not going to happen. But two things worry me. Firstly, despite what he said at the start of the season, it's clear that Adams is not happy with the squad. That does call into question his judgement. If we are going to bring in some more players during the window with others leaving the club, he must get the next tranche of signings right. None of his summer signings have worked, so far. In fact, currently, you'd have to say signing Hawkins and Virgo have created more problems than they have solved. (where to play Virgo, and hastening the departure of Lynch). Secondly, the loss of form after beating Millwall and Leicester is baffling and I'm at a loss to explain it. When we next win a couple of matches( which we will), we must, must, must, translate that into a decent run of form which will secure a comfortable mid table position. In the meantime, Adams needs to decide who is best starting eleven are and give them a reasonable run as a team; try and get Lynch back and if I were him, I'd play El Abd in that holding, defensive role in did so successfuly last season, easily his best position.

Doesn't matter who is in charge, Uncle Dick will enforce his jobs for the boys structure and that tit White will still be number two, which is where a lot of the problem lies.
