Presumably there are tory thickies too then?

Of course there are.

And if so why only single one type?!

Because the Labour thickies thought that anyone they believed to be Tory would be upset about IDS resigning and/or apparent general disharmony within the Tory ranks.

Remember of course that when Labour MP after Labour MP left Corbyn's shambolic shadow cabinet, the Labour thickies saw that as a positive outcome of robust and open debate. When a similar thing happens on the other side of the house, that now seems to be symptomatic of a party in disarray. Hypocritical much? (Or just, as stated, thick?)

As your post was made in reply to mine, maybe you could edit to include floating voter thickies as well.

No, I didn't.

I referred to "all Labour thickies" which is not saying that all Labour voters and loyalists are thickies. We have many left-leaning posters on NSC who are intelligent and possess independence to their thought. They can respect and give their support to policy emanating from the right if they asses it as being beneficial. They may never vote Conservative of course, but they are not so blinkered as to always say or believe "Tories are all evil, who hate the poor and want to look after their fat cat mates."

Unfortunately, we also have a fair few posters who are not capable of this. They are the Labour thickies.

A fair few Tory ones on here too.

My observation of those on the right is they support their party rather like a football team. Couldn't give a flying **** who is charge or the tactics they use as long as they are top of the table and defend them to the hilt.

Those on the left mainly purely ideological. Stuck in a 4-2-2 world. Will happily attack their team though if they play a single striker up front.

Neither correct of course.

Quite, it's a behaviour not limited to labour or tory thickies exclusively. It stuck out to single yourself out from the labour thickies specifically and not thickies in general. Anyway it doesn't really matter.

'Labour thickies' is a bit pejorative. But Darren's elucidation is reasonable. As is your response. There are 'my party, right or wrong' types in all parties. Except the UKIPpers, of course. 'My party, mine, not yours!' is the mantra of their leader and their one MP :lolol:

Osborne has done a u turn and dropped the cuts to the disabled.
It seemed pretty obvious that was going to happen. I still have no idea why they came up with the idea in the first place, it was pretty obvious it was going to make people dislike the party and not get through the commons.

Or the shocking state of Labour may well have given them the idea they could get away with anything.
That's the biggest problem. Our governments are always at their worst when there's a weak opposition. Like the Tories when Kinnock lead Labour, and Labour at the end of their last reign.

Blimey. A,man accuses labour supporters of generalising, by generalising all labour supporters

Whilst simultaneously using name calling to bring down the quality of debate whilst bemoaning the quality of debate.

A layered post that is impressive on many levels.

Or the shocking state of Labour may well have given them the idea they could get away with anything. They think they will win the next election come what may and they almost certainly will if Corbyn is Labour leader.

I agree that's their thought process but the current reality is they have a wafer thin majority. If they are right and Labour are no threat, why rush and kick up a hornets nest?

The tax credit cut and this week's budget annoucement have been awful politics and reflect terribly on Osborne and to a lesser extent Cameron.

I have a feeling as the referendum comes closer Labour would do well to basically shut up and sit tight, the Tories are going to tear themselves to shreds.

Try not to get too upset, I'm sure Apple will have something on the market soon which will make all of this seem trivial.
