My old barber was Alf (R.I.P) who only had one leg - well, an artificial one as well. He used to charge £3 for a grade 4. Alf was great but he tended to lose concentration if a waiting customer was telling a story or a joke . He would turn to whoever was talking but still be cutting your hair - how no-one lost an ear or was badly cut remains an absolute miracle.
