Just phoned the Exchange and the (Antipodean) chap was unsure at first but he said seeing as a Brighton fan asked first it will be the Brighton Game that he shows...

I wonder if that was Neal the silver-haired Kiwi? If he's still there then the bloke has worked there for years!

Might well have been, that's why I didn't say Aussie in case he wasn't one.

There was a big turn out for the Southampton game when it was shown there can't remember if there were other games on that night.

The seaside.
The Eddy is always full of Pool fans so I'm sure they'll show that game.

Good point. The owner's a Liverpool fan too.

The Oak in St James's Street claims according to its blackboard to be showing both games, but as far as I know they only have one cable box, so it'll be interesting to see how that works (switching over every couple of minutes perhaps?).

I imagine most pubs with no specific allegiance on behalf of the staff/regulars will advertise both games on their A-boards, then put on whichever game someone asks for first - or whichever game the pubs nearby aren't showing.

I'd be very surprised if more than one pub in five shows Liverpool though.

I'd imagine a few pubs in Brighton will be full of Southerners in their Liverpool shirts cheering on their beloved Steven Gerrard.

...Will be absolute SCUMMERS tonight and show Wigan v Liverpool instead of Colchester v Brighton?

This is a real concern of mine, I have a pool match in Rileys tonight and so have to spend the evening there. I will get the raging hump if the Albion game not on

Constant Service
Previous landlord always Albion first. Had to decamp to pub with no name when VS offered second small set with no sound whilst plastic Scousers got the HD and commentary.
Net result, £50 behind the bar at PWNN and Saturday's rugby plus (nicer) food switched too.

I've come back home.
Ended up walking round every pub in a small village called amesbury, wilts, finally found one that would show the albion game. full of wannabe northerners who by the end were more interested in me shouting at a tv in the corner than watching their side get beat on the big screen. One even said in a slightly west country accent that he respected people that support their local team. So i asked him how plymouth were getting on this season...he walked off after that.
