I remember the day on the bridge very well, think we were playing Grimsby away ?

There was a picture in the argus as well, anyone got a copy of it and Chapman and his Mrs were top people to turn up with Tomato Soup, bought home to me all the reasons to stick together through thick and thin for Falmer.

And that scoundrel Safeway managed to get a picture of the landlord of the Swan in front of a we want Falmer banner.

Happy days

I remember standing on that bridge at that very spot freezing my NUTS off one Saturday afternoon in the dim and distant past, over a "WE WANT FALMER" banner. Derek Chapman was good enough to drop by with some hot soup for us.

Seeing that view from that very spot warms the cockles, so it does.

Happy Days!
I still recall our astonishment at realising that Mein Host from the Swan was prepared to stand, cheery as you like, behind a stadium banner. So I snapped him up just in case he had a sudden change of mind!

Ha, those pictures bring back some memories.
Of course, we were all *badfans* for not being up at Grimsby that day, but it was still a cracking afternoon, despite the cold.

I have vague recollections of that. Wern't we getting stuffed away at some grim northern outpost that afternoon ? And wasn't there a REALLY cute little doggie with an Albion coat on ?

Now its there, I suppose we've all gotta help pay for the thing.
Its just fantastic knowing it was all worthwhile though innit.
Yes,Yes there was a dog,it was Barney,My rescue dog. He's 9 now and been on all the Falmer marches, his picture appeared in one F in Falmer I believe,
He f***ing loves the Albion.
