That crane is huge now.
It can even be seen from the traffic lights at the top of Wilson Ave by the race course!

Took this snap on my mobile as I was stuck on the bridge over the A27

is it just me or is it now starting to look a lot smaller now they are "filling in" the rest of the ground?

I totally agree that it is certainly looking fantastic

I remember standing on that bridge at that very spot freezing my NUTS off one Saturday afternoon in the dim and distant past, over a "WE WANT FALMER" banner. Derek Chapman was good enough to drop by with some hot soup for us.

Seeing that view from that very spot warms the cockles, so it does.

I think its you Dave.
It looks absolutely maHOOsive when you're standing on the pitch, or at the top of the West stand.

Was that the very day that Trotster spoke to Harty on the phone in and said "the drivers have been flashing us"?

Fans like you ought to get in free for the first season; let's face it even our hardcore 4k hardly turned up to these demos when falmer looked like pure fiction

I have vague recollections of that. Wern't we getting stuffed away at some grim northern outpost that afternoon ? And wasn't there a REALLY cute little doggie with an Albion coat on ?

Now its there, I suppose we've all gotta help pay for the thing.
Its just fantastic knowing it was all worthwhile though innit.

That's the one. Can't remember who we were playing though.
It was immaterial that day.

I think Harty let out a chuckle when we all started cheering at the flashing comment.

That was on a par with Tank telling the Doc that he had problems with his feet!

Well that's very gratious of you. Did my bit too but not as much as many, though I drank nothing but bring home the Albion ale until local pub ran out. Harveys, you made a killing out of me!!!

Why does it have to be that big! Surely thats a bit much?

So it can reach all parts of the stadium from one spot-like a semi mobile tower crane?

I feel sorry for the bloke working that crane, quite honestly. To sustain an erection like that is one thing, but to actually move at the same time... He must have a heart like a whale!

Extraordinary Scenes.

I think that the dog with the Albion coat on was owned by Roy Chuter, who was editor of the programme for a while and was also mein host at the Wellington in Shoreham. I could be hopelessly wrong but I believe we were playing Grimsby that day.
