Have you ever in person witnessed a truly historical occasion, and I don’t mean seeing us score a goal last season or other such witticisms. No, something unfold without warning, like seeing the Twin Towers go down? Maybe some of you were in Iraq or the Falklands when the invasions began? A major bit of news that became a massive story afterwards. What are your memories at the time? Doesn’t have to be tragic, just EPIC!

Ok,I’m going to kindly request football events excluded. Though would have loved to have seen that one in the flesh!

I was in the Q club in Birmingham when Ronnie Size, Andy C etc played it in 99.

Absolutely ridiculous and quite possibly the most epic thing I've ever been a part of.

It wasn't on the news but if you've ever been to a club then you know.

Sure it was great but I’m thinking more Tsunami or Grassy Knoll type events

I was at Planet Hollywood in Vegas after the MAY PAC fight. The casino was on lock down as some guy was letting of rounds. All the croupiers where under the tables. I think he was shot dead at the Parisian.

I was off my tits on mushrooms watching the twin towers come down.

Does that count?

Northern Hemisphere.
I was there when Darren Freeman became the first man on earth to score a goal this millennium. The scenes were unbelievable. It was a mix of disbelief and shock from everyone there. It seemed as if the whole world stopped turning just for a few minutes whilst we allowed the reality of Darren Freeman's achievements to sink in.

Life changing.

I would imagine many of us have been part of a big story that happened in October 1987.

I lived just outside of Belfast when;

1) the three terrorists were put out of their misery by the SAS in Gibraltar,
2) when Michael Stone (?) threw grenades at their funerals in West Belfast,
3) when the two squaddies were beaten to death at the following funeral in the Falls Road.

I didn't see the two Belfast incidents thankfully, but was only living some 8-10 miles away.

So you weren't there, then. There means there.
