Had a friend who went through the same thing, couple of years younger than I am. Happy guy, normal hair, normal life. Bam, one month later not even eyelashes.

Nothing to do with heroin however, its just a disease.

I’m not mocking his alopecia at all. There’s a lot more going on with the state of him than just hair loss. Take a look at Duncan Goodhew; he’s suffered the same but looks good.

For some reason I always seem to see a pic of him about every 5 years and each time I’m always a bit taken aback by his appearance. Nothing to do with his hair-loss. I’d bet a fair pound that his physical state is largely down to his earlier party lifestyle and taking of illicit drugs. To be honest, I hadn’t even noticed the alopecia as he’s had a shaved head for decades now.

But did Duncan Goodhew define his own zeitgeist and create some of the most memorable dance tunes ever? No, he just didn't need a swim hat.

To be honest, besmirching the name of a truly great British cultural icon I'd say is stooping lower than a post you made about you know who.

While its not a nice thing to say, I do it sometimes. However a think it adds quite a thick layer when there is a disease involved causing the percieved ugliness (personally I think this Ryder guy just looks like some average random bloke if you search British on Pornhub). Certainly doesnt look like most heroin addicts I meet, he must have had it under some control.

You can totally get away with hard drugs, drink and late nights & lack of exercise in your 20's... after that though, your body must be a temple, otherwise you'll turn into a fat gammon faced potato monster.

If only Shaun knew someone of a similar age and background who could help him out with some fitness.
