Only problem is that I've not played in 10 years and don't have any gear! Is there a local friendly club that do open net sessions or similar that have bats and pads that I can use?

Sad to read about the loss of one of your players last weekend. It sounded like he was the a-typical village cricketer, chipped in and did a bit of everything at the club.

I play for Preston Village on Sat and Moulsecoomb Wanderers on Sunday, both friendly clubs. We net at Falmer School/BACA on Wednesdays at 6.30 till it gets dark. If you are interested PM me.
