Clubs need to be denied promotion if they break FFP.

No other sanction will work.

I know accounts arn't complete, but perhaps a club should have to prove compliance before being promoted. Maybe a 50 point bonus at the end of the season for clubs that do provide this proof on time, which would ensure that those that don't provide proof, won't finish high enough to go up.

But if they don't, will we be able to mount a legal challenge against the FL?

Surely we would have to. It is all well and good everyone saying FFP will fall apart, but all those clubs that stuck to the rules will have a right to compensation if the Football league does not abide by it's own rule. Let's say Doncaster did abide by the rules and Birmingham didn't, Donny went down on goal difference to Birmingham. They would have to take it to court if the FL did not punish Birmingham in the way they said they would.

It could get really messy if the fine print of the FFP regulations are not water tight.

It will end in the courts as it's obvious some teams are playing within the rules and others are flouting them

Agreed, one way or the other. Let's just hope that the FL do stand by their rules. This nonsense cannot continue, the sooner all football clubs have to break even, every season, the better as far I am concerned.

It seems most are happy to vote in FFP, but also want to get around the rules for their own advantage.

Until there is a genuine desire by all clubs to comply, it may as well be ditched.

Anyone know when they'll actually tell us what's going to happen to clubs ignoring FFP? Anyone know why they haven't bothered laying that out already?
